Dumaguete City
province of Negros Oriental.
The city is nicknamed The City of Gentle People.
"Dumaguete" was coined from the Visayan word "daggit" which means
"to snatch". Because of the frequent marauding attacks of the pirates
on this once coastal town, and the power to attract and keep her
visitors for good, the word "dumaguet" was coined, meaning "to swoop".
Dumaguete is worth to visit. Dumaguete, blessed to have the most beautiful
natural formations like enchanting lakes, falls, clear beaches, natural
parks, and many other places – a gift from nature. Aside from that, you
can also go to man-made resorts like pools, leisure parks, retreat
houses, and many more similar places to go.
These enchanting places to visit are not too far away from the heart of
the City. Some may be as close as two kilometers for the hot spring
sourced pools of Valencia down to some forty kilometers for the beaches
of the Apo Island.

One of my favorite place in Dumaguete is Valencia...
so simple, so quiet, I just fell in love with the place
on my first visit.
I took this on my first visit...using my Nokia Phone.
